The current Al Chen State Farm Agency was established in 2003. Al had been an agent in San Leandro for 16 years before going into Agency leadership for another 5 years before returning to personal production in West Contra Costa County in 2003.
Our agency has its roots in the Pinole area where Al spent much of his childhood. He’s an alumnus of Pinole Valley High and was active in the community from a young age through the Boy Scouts in Tara Hills where he attained his Eagle Scout in 1974.
Returning to his hometown for his second agency was quite exciting. It was an opportunity to serve the community that he had grown up in.
Our agency has a wealth of experience and knowledge, not just with State Farm products and services but also knowledge of the area and its many neighborhoods. Al also attained his Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and his Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) professional designations from The American College of Financial Services.
With these credentials, Al and his team (who are also native West County residents), are passionate about taking care of our customers with a professional, yet casual approach. We strive to build lasting relationships with our customers and our business is built for the long term with those we serve.
